“Art in Bloom” Opens in Chongqing, Presenting the Work of 46 International Artists

Chongqing, China — July 30, 2026 — The 2026 Jiangjin International Painting Exhibition opens on July 30, 2026, at the Hongyi Jiuzhou International Culture and Art Center in Jiangjin District, Chongqing. Presented under the theme “Art in Bloom: New Visions for a New Audience,” the exhibition will continue through September 25, 2026.

Curated by Nour Nouri and Jackie Zhang, the exhibition presents works by 46 international artists, bringing together a wide range of cultural perspectives, artistic approaches, and contemporary interpretations of painting.

The exhibition was officially inaugurated at 3:00 p.m. on July 30, 2026, with an opening ceremony attended by artists, cultural representatives, art professionals, members of the media, and the public.

“Art in Bloom” explores renewal, creativity, and the changing relationship between contemporary art and its audiences. Through the work of 46 artists from different international backgrounds, the exhibition encourages visitors to discover new visual languages and engage with art in an open and accessible way.

The curatorial vision places particular emphasis on connection—between artists and viewers, local and international perspectives, and established traditions and emerging ideas. The exhibition presents contemporary art as a living form of communication that continues to evolve through dialogue, experimentation, and cultural exchange.

Located within Chongqing Municipality, Jiangjin provides a distinctive setting for this international cultural event. The exhibition contributes to the district’s growing cultural profile while strengthening connections between local institutions and the wider international art community.

During the final segment of the exhibition at least one artwork by each of the 46 participating artists will be selected for an additional presentation at the Jiangjin Museum of Chongqing. This special showcase will provide the artists with greater public visibility, expanded promotional opportunities, and further exposure beyond the main exhibition venue.

The program is organized by Pashmin Art Consortia and the Hongyi Jiuzhou International Culture and Art Center, together with supporting cultural partners. Their collaboration reflects a shared commitment to artistic exchange, public engagement, and the international promotion of contemporary painting.

Through its theme, the exhibition invites audiences to consider how artists respond to identity, memory, society, nature, and contemporary life. Rather than treating art as a closed or purely academic discipline, “Art in Bloom” presents it as an active and evolving medium capable of reaching new audiences across cultural and geographical boundaries.

Running from July 30 to September 25, 2026, the exhibition aims to create lasting connections among artists, curators, cultural organizations, and the public while positioning Jiangjin District as an active meeting point for international artistic exchange.
