Despite the profound sense of loss, we find solace in presenting Zhang Dawo’s latest solo exhibition, “From Calligraphy to Abstract Expressionism,” which will be held at the prestigious Pashmin Art Gallery. This exhibition serves as a poignant tribute to Zhang Dawo’s life and his remarkable artistic journey.

Running from May 13th to May 27th, 2023, the exhibition showcases a captivating collection of Zhang Dawo’s most recent works. Through a fusion of traditional Chinese calligraphy and contemporary abstract art, Zhang Dawo created a visual language that resonated with audiences worldwide. The art community in Bad Tölz is honored to have Cynthia Stimming, the correspondent of Zhang Dawo, present at the exhibition to represent the artist. Cynthia Stimming will graciously stand in to ensure that Zhang Dawo’s artistic vision and legacy are appropriately honored. She will warmly welcome guests, share insights into Dawo’s latest works, and create an unforgettable evening of art and remembrance in Bad Tölz.

The exhibition will be presented by Christine Adler, an actress and lecturer known for her deep appreciation of art and culture. Dr. Davood Khazaie, a literary art critic and the international curator of Pashmin Art, will deliver the opening lecture, providing valuable insights into Zhang Dawo’s artistic journey and legacy.

Zhang Dawo’s profound impact on the art world extends far beyond the exhibition walls.
